Into the Wild: Winter Warmer Full Moon Retreat

Into the Wild: Winter Warmer Full Moon Retreat

Emerson is delighted to host Into the Wild’s Winter Warmer Full Moon Retreat.

A note from the organisers:

“Dear All,

We are really looking forward to seeing you next weekend.   It’s been many years since we have ran a winter weekend at Emerson and 10 years today since we ran first our first Valentines event at Emerson.  So many things have changed, many of our dear friends have passed to the other realm, new folk have come along, we passed through the strange time zone of the pandemic and everything has gone up in price, including being at the lovely Emerson.

This last point means it has been more of a challenge to get folk to come along, this plus the times we live in. So this may be the last time we host a winter event here, so let’s make it extraordinary and sublime. The summer retreat is thriving, it’s because people can camp, which makes it easier for many, plus the longing for warm days and summer nights is a strong pull, plus hosting the wonderful James Low.

Yet there is something deep and wonderful about being together amongst these winter times, it is very much a time of retreat and contemplation so this is out focus right now, as Rumi said “There are at least ten thousand ways to kneel and kiss the ground” .  With this in mind we have created a schedule that allows us to deepen into the greatest joy of all, recognition of our true nature, through meditation, music, poetry, movement, story, feasting, and dance.  We hope that these offerings will bring a deep sense of ease and relaxation, free from the troubles of the world for just a few days. To leave the phone off and hear the great silence that lies at the heart of everything.

So tell your friends to come and join us…”
