Hilma af Klint 1862 - 1944

Hilma af Klint 1862 – 1944

A painting and research weekend workshop once again celebrating the work of the visionary artist Hilma af Klint.

Emerson arts tutor Mary-Anne Paterson and Dr Anne Weise of the Rudolf Steiner Archive Dornach will for a second year introduce their Painting and lecture weekend exploring more of this unique artist‘s works.

Anne Weise will give a public lecture on Friday evening sharing more of Hilma’s later wet-on-wet watercolours in the style she developed whilst living and painting as an anthroposophist at the Goetheanum. On Saturday morning her second lecture will look at the remarkable Swan Sequence with the workshop  participants.

Once again the weekend will be introduced by Andrew Wolpert of the Humanities Section of the Anthroposophical  Society in the U.K.
