Coming to Light

Explore your visual language with Alex and Richard. On this three day course you will develop and explore your own visual language, engaging with colour relationships, material properties and qualities of paint and mediums. Each one of us will strengthen our commitments to the studio process, the ongoing conversation with the piece and how one may listen and converse with this, moving into and beyond the painted surface. The process is all about how the painting opens up and a ‘presence’ may come into being. We will build upon the enriching autumnal themes and atmosphere, and build in time to look and reflect to see what develops through this process. Alex and Richard will encourage you to form a new image of yourself painting.
