Class Conference

Class Conference

* This event is for Members of the School of Spiritual Science only *

You are invited to the Summer Conference of the School of Spiritual Science at Emerson College, hosted by the Anthroposophical Society in Great Britain.

The theme will be: “The Threshold and the Abyss – Meeting the Guardian in our Lives and Work”. We will address this through working with the first three Class Lessons, augmented with artistic experiences, short talks and small group work.

The aim is to bring to awareness how, 100 years after the founding of the School of Michael, we meet the abyss and the Guardian of the Threshold in our current lives and work.

We will enter the theme of meeting the Guardian through three different perspectives: science, art and life. Each of these explorations will start with a brief introduction followed by an exploration of the theme through artistic activity and conversation in small groups.

The conference will be explorative and interactive, to enable us to recognise and take up the challenges we encounter as spiritual seekers on the path of self-knowledge.

On Wednesday evening there will be a sharing of a work-in-progress performance of the Apocalypse, with conversation lead by Sarah Kane and Christopher Marcus.

This year, we will work with Johannes Kühl (former leader of the Natural Sciences Section at the Goetheanum) together with Diana Pauli, Adrian Locher, Marjatta van Boeschoten, Alex Murrell and Coralee Frederickson.

All members of the School of Spiritual Science, including those who have newly joined, are very welcome!

Please remember to bring your blue card.

This workshop will be followed from 1st – 5th August by the Anthroposophical Society Summer conference, Speaking to the Stars. We would be delighted if you would extend your stay to participate in this event, also hosted at Emerson College.
