5 week beginners wheel throwing pottery course (for absolute beginners)

Hillside Pottery are delighted to be offering an introductory class specifically aimed at those students who have no previous experience on a potters wheel.  Have you ever thought that you’d like to have a go at throwing?  Then this is the course for you.

You’ll be shown step by step every aspect of throwing: from preparing the clay, to the different techniques used to create a form on the wheel. The course will also cover basic decoration techniques and glazing.  Your work will be fired in our kilns and by the end of the course you can expect to have created a number of pieces to take home.

Saturday mornings 10-12pm starting January 13th 2024

Open to 12+ years if accompanied by adult
